Blog 2 — Data Quality
The biggest challenge I’m going to face and what I think a lot of outbound reps is data quality.
Data quality in the CRM and the same across leads and contacts.
It requires a lot of time to clean up and in terms of new business development is highly unproductive but extremely necessary.
The issue is around a lack of knowledge and ownership when data is entered and a lack of resources to keep it up to date.
From me, it’s going to require plugging away on a daily basis across the year to fix.
A solution is a “many hands approach” combined with being proactive to ensure quality data across the CRM.
Anyone who needs to enter and use data must take responsibility for its quality.
A challenge of poor quality data is a lack of productivity due to high administration requirements, doubling up on work, duplicates and a lack of context which can damage a deal.
